We made the trek up north to see my little brother's new kiddo, Betty. She's cutie, so check out the pics:

We also went to Pike Place Market and then Buca di Beppo, a super fun italian restaurante with some pretty over-the-top decor. I didn't take any pictures of hte restaurant, though...bummer...

We also cut Josiah's hair yesterday. His head was getting so hot with all this heat (107 degrees yestereday!!!), and it would get all scraggly and gross when he sweats...and he sweats A LOT. So, off it came. Behold the mohawk:

Finally, my neighbor Ben and I put together a deck out of the salvaged floor of an old shed that he was tearing down. It was in pretty rough shape, but after a little sanding, border building, and sealing, the deck looks pretty great. Thanks to Multnomah for letting us carve out a spot out back...it was kinda a mudhole. Unfortunately, the sprinkler system shoots right onto the top of it, and it had pools of water on top this morning. We'll need to figure out a way to have it slope a bit to let water off. Not too much...we'll see how it goes. Here's the fruit of our labors:

Ok, that's it for now! Later sk8rs!
